Electro-Polishing
There are many chemical solutions used for electro-polishing and each has its own unique benefits and drawbacks. Depending on your device, there is a range of chemistries to choose from that will result in a flawless electro-polishing of your medical device. All chemistries have a distinct signature for removal rates, surface finish, feature definition (rounding), and surface treatment. Relucent Solutions will assist in the selection of the ideal process to meet the needs of your component.
Abrasive-Blasting
If you choose to use abrasive-blasting in your process, Relucent Solutions has in-depth experience with different media types and sizes to create the surface conditions optimal for your particular device.
Chemical-Etching
Many designs are better suited for chemical-etching as opposed to abrasive-blasting. Sometimes referred to as
pickling, this is an important process step for creating microscopically-smooth, highly-reflective surface conditions for post-processing in many medical device applications.
Shape-Setting
Relucent Solutions offers both the long-time industry standard molten Salt Bath and the commonly used Fluidized Sand Bath. The finished material specifications of your company's device are greatly influenced by the shape-setting processes; therefore, thermal processing times and temperatures can be competently altered to meet your material specification needs.
Raw Materials & Laser-Cutting
Relucent Solutions has worked with a wide variety of reputable suppliers of raw materials and laser-cutting. We have developed strategic partnerships to source your company's undefined materials and/or processes. At your request, we can also work directly with your specified and approved suppliers to manage the flow of product to your company. Either way, your transactions will result in a well-crafted medical stent or component.
